Mood Tracking

Export & deletion guide

Your journal and your copies

Your journal is stored in this installation’s local app storage. There is no Mood Tracking account or developer-held cloud journal. Export creates a separate file and leaves the original entries in the app.

Export a readable copy

1. Open Settings, then Data controls and Export CSV.
2. Read Before you save, then tap Choose destination & save CSV.
3. Choose a location and filename in Android’s document picker, then confirm Save.
4. Keep the app open until the result appears, then check the file at its destination.

Export includes every stored entry, across all dates, with the columns id, timestamp, mood, note and tags. Filters do not narrow the export. Timestamps use your device’s current time zone. Formula-like text may start with an added apostrophe for spreadsheet safety; the stored journal is unchanged.

The file is unencrypted plain text. Choose a destination you trust; a selected cloud provider may upload it. Review the file before sharing it. Mood Tracking cannot revoke access to exported copies or import the CSV to restore a journal. A success message does not confirm later cloud synchronization.

Delete one entry

1. Open History and find the entry.
2. Open its three-dot menu and choose Delete entry.
3. Choose Delete to remove it or Keep to cancel.

Deletion removes the local record from the journal and summaries. There is no in-app undo. Other entries remain saved. Earlier CSV exports still contain the old copy until you delete those files separately.

Remove this installation’s data

The app has no delete-all button. To remove all local records and settings, use Android Settings, find Mood Tracking under Apps, open its storage controls and choose Clear storage or Clear data. Names and paths vary by device. Check the installation carefully if a preview is also installed.

Clearing storage can permanently lose your journal. Clearing cache is different and does not erase the journal in the same way. Uninstalling normally removes app-private data too. App archiving is not the same as deleting app data.

Do not uninstall an older installation just to try an update if you need its history. There is no import or restore feature.

Delete exports or ask about support email

Delete exported CSV files and other copies using your file manager or selected provider. This includes partial files from failed exports, screenshots and attachments. Check the provider’s Trash, recovery and retention controls where needed.

For questions or privacy requests about messages you sent us, email support@digicraftstudio.in. We can address information we hold, but cannot remotely erase your device or another provider’s files. Local entry deletion is not a certified secure-erasure process.
